About Me

I'm a native South Carolinian who moved to New York in Summer 2010.  In one year, I left my career as a high school theatre teacher, got married, and moved to The Best City on Earth.  It was a Hell of a year.

I'm a member of Actors Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.  In New York, I'm a former company member of The Bats at The Flea Theater, and have studied with Bob Krakower, Stacey Gallo, David Cady, Marci Phillips, and others.  I'm a National Board Certified Teacher, I know how to fly-fish, and once competed to be The Funniest Person in Billings, Montana.  I won a bar tab for my efforts.

Married to playwright Dean Poynor, we founded The Salvage Company together, and have been fortunate to produce our shows in Austalia (twice!), South Carolina, and New York.  Our Beagle Hank is not impressed.

The most exciting development in my life is that we had a baby in June 2012, so we're pretty in love with him.  And we're pretty sure he's the most hilarious baby ever.
